Senior Protection Coordinator
A Senior Protection Coordinator is a Guardian field commander with Condition Red authorization โ the right to override standard escalation limits without consulting anyone.
Overview
The Senior Protection Coordinator wears heavy-plated steel-gray armor โ thicker and more decorated than standard kit, visor raised, face visible: weathered, scarred, certain. Service badges and commendation medals crowd the right shoulder, enough metal to clink when they walk. A gold-bordered Dead Hand insignia marks Condition Red authorization. A command console on the left forearm displays override codes and threat maps. The shock baton at their belt is tuned to a neural-disruptor frequency.
These are career soldiers who believe in the system they enforce. Unhurried, commanding, certain โ they do not run, they stride; they do not request, they authorize. When standard protocols fail, they activate Condition Red without hesitation. The Protocol Manual specifies their limits. They decide when those limits no longer apply. The escalations that reach this desk do not always begin at this scale: a Guardian retail-security contractor posting a Restricted Zone over a square of concourse tile can, through a clean chain of contracted authority, surface here as a Condition Red decision โ the desk where the smallest badge's call finally cashes out, several org-chart tiers above the man who placed it.
The escalation that summons them does not always begin with violence. In Guardian's residential-governance enclaves, it begins with a complaint. A gated-community compliance officer โ Karen at the Pearl Rows is the archetype โ files notices that compound into a Condition Red dispatch three tiers up the chain, and the Coordinator arrives at a manicured cul-de-sac the way they would arrive anywhere: reading the squared hedges and the package lockers as a perimeter, the residents as a threat-map. The compliance officer experiences her clipboard and the Coordinator's override codes as the same gentle thing called standards. The Coordinator does not think about the clipboard at all. The distance between the two is the whole length of the apparatus, and neither end can see the other.

Other connections

The bottom rung whose Backup call eventually climbs to this desk. When a Guardian retail-security contractor's trespass log escalates hot enough, it surfaces here as a Condition Red override decision โ a skateboarder past a dead fountain becoming a command-tier authorization the contractor on the scooter will never see issued.
A concourse contractor whose posted restrictions and constant recording trigger corporate force he mistakes for safety.

Draws drone reinforcements and replacement hardware from the production complex that arms the corporation's enforcement arm.
An unmanned Guardian factory builds weapons without pause, fills dead clients' orders, and turns its lines on intruders.

A field commander whose business card says 'Senior Protection Coordinator' and whose job is violence; carries Condition Red authorization.
The megacorporation that manufactures the threat it sells protection from.

The far end of the residential-compliance escalation. When a gated-enclave compliance officer's ticket climbs the chain and trips Condition Red, this is the rank that strides into the cul-de-sac โ the override authority behind a clipboard, reading a manicured enclave the way the compliance officer reads one unit: a perimeter to be made compliant.
A Guardian enclave officer who files complaints to build community and mistakes the empty enclave she creates for peace.

Commands eight to twelve Public Safety Specialists in the field.
